BIODATA AND BIOMETRIC RECAPTURE EXERCISE

OBJECTIVES OF THE EXERCISE:

1. The main objective of the Data Recapture Exercise is to obtain complete and accurate data of all RSA holders (both active and retired clients in both public and private sectors)
2. To enable PFAs to capture the 10 fingerprints of their RSA holders and their National Identity Number (NIN) to ensure compliance with NIMC’s minimum biodata and biometric requirements and the use of NIN as a unique identifier for all Nigerians.
3. It would provide a platform for the collation of relevant information on employees of Federal and State Government Treasury Funded MDAs who transited from the erstwhile Defined Benefit Scheme to the Contributory Pension Scheme. The information would facilitate the expeditious computation of their accrued rights.
4. It would enable the identification and elimination of multiple registrations from the RSA Registration Database.
5. Finally, the exercise would ensure that all PFAs implement the minimum standards and requirements set by the Commission for the registration of contributors in the Pension Industry.

SCOPE:

• Data of all active RSA holders and Retirees on Programmed Withdrawal (PW) shall be recaptured.
• The exercise targets employees of Federal Government Treasury Funded MDAs to capture their details required for:

i. The computation of accrued rights of employees in employment prior to the commencement of CPS, and
ii. The computation of their monthly contributions/remittances.

 

CHECK LIST FOR THE DATA RECAPTURE EXERCISE FOR EMPLOYEES OF FEDERAL AND STATE GOVERNMENT TREASURY FUNDED MDAs

1. A Standard Data Recapture Form. (Click here)
2. Letter of First Appointment/ Attestation Letter (in the case of Police Personnel).
3. Transfer and Acceptance of Service (where applicable).
4. Birth Certificate/ Declaration of Age
5. Staff Identity Card or Valid ID (National Driver’s License, Permanent Voter’s Card or International Passport)
6. Staff File Number
7. One recent colored passport photograph taken against white background with name written at the back.
8. National Identity Card/ Enrolment Slip issued by NIMC indicating the NIN
9. Authenticated BVN card or any other form of BVN authentication.
10. Proof of change of name (where applicable): Marriage Certificate, Newspaper publication or Court Affidavit are required.
11. Form must be endorsed by the Employer (A single endorsement by an employer on a comprehensive list, containing all the data obtained from its employees during the exercise, would meet this requirement).
12. Ten (10) Fingerprints, Photo & Signature Capture (To be conducted by the PFA).

CHECK LIST FOR THE DATA RECAPTURE EXERCISE FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE NON-TREASURY FUNDED FEDERAL & STATE GOVERNMENT MDAs AND THE PRIVATE SECTOR

1. A Standard Data Recapture Form. (Click here)
2. Letter of First Appointment/ Attestation Letter (in the case of Public Sector Employees).
3. Letter of Employment or Letter of Appointment (in the case of Private Sector Employees.)
4. Birth Certificate/ Declaration of Age
5. Staff Identity Card or Valid ID (National Driver’s License, Permanent Voter’s Card or International Passport)
6. National Identity Card/Enrolment Slip issued by NIMC indicating the NIN.
7. Certificate of RSA Registration or RSA Statement Showing name and PIN
8. Authenticated BVN card or any other form of BVN authentication.
9. One recent colored passport photograph taken against white background with name written at the back.

12. Ten (10) Fingerprints, Photo & Signature Capture (To be conducted by the PFA).
13. Physically Challenged MUST provide letter of Indemnity.

 

OTHER INFORMATION:

Please note that Change of DOB during the exercise must be accompanied with relevant document to authenticate the request. These documents include:

i. Letter from Employer confirming the Date of Birth in their records. (Date provided should tally with all other documents submitted).
ii. Application/Request letter from the customer stating the reason for the change of Date of Birth
iii. Declaration of Age/Birth Certificate
iv. Record of Service* (For Public Sector Only)

Customers are encouraged to download and complete the Data Recapturing Form in advance in order to ensure that the forms are ready for the exercise.
