Trustfund Pensions Limited a leading Pension Fund Administrator (PFA) in Nigeria needs a technology enthusiast who will work in our Information Technology (IT) Department as a Network and Cybersecurity Team lead.

Job Summary:

The Team Lead, Network and Cybersecurity, will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure network infrastructure, ensuring robust cybersecurity policies and protocols are in place. This role requires strategic leadership, technical expertise, and hands-on involvement in protecting the organization’s IT assets against cyber threats while ensuring optimal network performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Infrastructure Management:

• Design, deploy, and manage secure network architectures (LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN, etc.).
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime.
• Manage firewalls, routers, switches, and other networking equipment.
• Optimize network performance through regular assessments and upgrades.

Cybersecurity Operations:

• Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
• Monitor and analyse security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents.
• Conduct periodic security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans.
• Oversee the implementation of security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and DLP.
• Ensure compliance with industry security standards (ISO 27001, NDP, etc.).

Incident Response & Risk Management:

• Lead incident response activities, ensuring timely mitigation of security breaches.
• Conduct forensic analysis and root cause investigations for security incidents.
• Establish and enforce risk management frameworks to mitigate IT security risks.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

• Manage and mentor a team of network and security engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT security best practices.
• Provide training and awareness programs on cybersecurity for employees.
• Develop strategic security plans and present recommendations

Compliance & Documentation:

• Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance and internal security policies.
• Maintain documentation of security policies, incidents, and network configurations.
• Work with auditors and regulatory bodies for security assessments.

Qualification Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree in Information Security or IT Management is an advantage.

Professional Certifications:

• CISSP, CCNP Security, or CISM is a major advantage.
• CEH, CCIE Security, CHFI, GIAC, or other relevant certifications.

Experience:

• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in network administration, cybersecurity, or IT security operations.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Hands-on experience with firewall management, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM tools, and cloud security solutions.
• Proven track record of implementing security frameworks and compliance measures.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and encryption methodologies.
• Good knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Experience with identity and access management (IAM), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and endpoint security solutions.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
